The Church and its Liturgy are the body of God's truth in the world known in His love or mercy and not in His power or authority. Only as a body of truth is it the body of beauty, precisely of beautiful love in humanity; of truth, love, and the beauty of the fact that liberates, manifies, and saves. These are consecrated and proclaimed in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. And this requires the preparation of the priestly heart of the faithful, clergy, laity and monks. "Woe to those who have lost their hearts; let them die; and what will they do when the Lord visits them?" It is the loving heart, insatiably surrendered to the fire of love, the one who understands, possesses the real intelligence, that the Church, this loving society of the faithful, is the manifestation of "the eternal love of God", with which he loved and loves His people; it is the presence of Essential love in the midst of God's people, "all the days, even to the end of the age"! What else is the Eucharist but the partaking of this unceasing love, the unquenchable flame, which transforms and sanctifies everyone and everything?
