The History of the Christian Church confronts us with a crucial question: Was the Church a privileged field of apologetics for Christianity or the ultimate proof of its total failure? In fact, given that even among Christians, the historiography of Christianity was included in various attempts to argue in favor of one or another theological point of view or tradition, or the historical rights of one or another institution. Entering the adventure of yet another, albeit brief, history of Christianity, we experience the complex difficulty of not simply documenting historical data, but interpreting them from the perspective of orthodox theology.
