Dorparakis Stefanos
Stefanos Dormparakis was born in Athens in 1990. He is a graduate of the Pedagogical Department of Elementary Education of the E.K.P.A. and graduate of Byzantine Music. He began to deal with music from an early age, taking classical piano and harmonium lessons. At the age of fifteen, he came into contact with traditional music for the first time and dedicated himself to the canon, starting lessons with renowned teachers. Afterwards, he attended special music seminars alongside Halil Karaduman, Sokratis Sinopoulos, pianist Markos Alexiou and choirmaster Dimitrios Kanaris. He has collaborated with renowned Greek and foreign artists, the "Mikis Theodorakis" orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, while from 2008 to 2011 he was a pianist in the children's choir of Agios Vasilios Piraeus. In recent years, he has participated in various musical groups of traditional and artistic music in Greece and abroad and has - as a musical performer, performer and choir - taken part in a significant number of recordings. Finally, in 2016, he released his first independent record attempt entitled "white letter" consisting of his own original instrumental compositions.
