As is the case with almost all the previous consolidated editions of the author's studies, the mixed subject matter of this volume is defined by the triptych of general categories: Literature - Criticism - Philology and refers to dimensions and "moments" of the modern Greek presence in these areas of creative literature and its evaluative and scientific study. It is known that in the literature of similar conventions there is a pervasive reference to the self-evident practical utility of gathering scattered contributions, so that there is no need here to repeat this (completely justified, of course) common ground. On the contrary, perhaps it would be necessary on this occasion (and beyond the interest of the content of this book) or a reminder of an obligation of the "world of letters" and of the intellect in general: to methodically and convincingly explain to the wider readership the inseparable relationship and the necessity of the three above related and distinct forms of spiritual activity.
