Zannis Tassos

Tasos Zannis was born on August 2, 1929 in Piraeus. studied Medicine at the University of Athens, where he also completed his doctoral thesis. He worked as a pathologist at "Zaneio" (1950-1960), then at the IKA and then, for many years, at the "Demokritos" Research Center. He has written many articles-essays on the topic of death and biomedicine. Due to his knowledge of languages, in all the magazines he collaborated with, he published his literary and scientific texts either in Greek or in translations from English, French, Russian and German. He was a very sensitive poet, as shown by the poems he published in the magazines "Skapani" and "Synoro". He also dabbled in essay writing as well as theater criticism.
