Preaching is "a ministry" (Rom 15:16). The word of God differs from every form of human speech, because it aims at conveying God's will to man, to reveal and convey to man the message of God's love, the assurance that "God is with us" in every case of our lives. This is especially true when the word of God is heard
and is offered in the context of the Divine Liturgy, in which the Word is "incarnated" and offered to man for communion. In this context, the sermon must be offered with awe and attention so as not to disturb the devotional atmosphere created by the Divine Liturgy.
