On the occasion of the translation of Bram Stoker's work, Dracoula, prepared by Papadiamantis under the title "Dracula's Tower", a tour of the history of this peculiar literary genre called "vampiric" - which first appeared at the beginning of the 19th century - is attempted and also an approach to Papadiamantis's translational activity and the ways in which he himself processed, through his language and his tradition, such texts.
