Lillis Giorgos

George Lillis was born in Germany in 1974. A year later he settled in Greece with his family. At first in Athens and then in Agrinio, his place of origin, until returning to Germany in 1996 where he has lived and worked ever since. His poems have been translated into German and have been presented in magazines and anthologies abroad. His translations, poems and essays have also been published in various Greek literary magazines ("Poetry", "Mandragoras", "Dentro", "Akti", "Grafi"). He edits radio shows in Germany in which he presents Greek poets and musicians (among others Nikos Kavadias, Nikolas Asimos and Mikis Theodorakis). He has translated into Greek Wislawa Siborska, Erich Fried, Li Tai Pe as well as Indian poets. "The land of sleeping waters" (published by "Mandragoras", 2001) is soon to be published in Germany.
