Larce Jean Claude

Jean Claude Larchet was born in 1949 in northeastern France. Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Theology from the University of Strasbourg, he is the author of fifteen books and numerous articles on the theology and spirituality of the Church Fathers, which have been translated into twelve languages. He is considered one of the leading Orthodox patrologists and an important exponent of Orthodoxy in Europe.
He lives and works as a professor in France. He directs, in two French publishing houses, a collection of books dedicated to contemporary spiritual leaders of the Orthodox Church, among whom are Elder Joseph the Hesychastis, Elder Paisios, Elder Ephraim Katunakiotis, Elder Charalambos, Elder Porphyrios.
