This booklet tries to help us reach a fuller and more conscious participation in the celebration of the Eucharist. The small explanations-highlights and the side text (of the same Liturgy!) in spoken Greek will hopefully lead to a gradual maturation of our relationship with Christ, until we understand that: a) Addressing one's father, one does not speak to him in an unknown language his (for the child) language. b) Today's people will not remain in the Liturgy when the language used in Worship is incomprehensible. c) The various verbal exhortations that are supposed to be understandable (e.g. ἰρίνη πᾶσι, Sophia ὀρθοί etc.) do not cover the need for meaningful and much more personal prayerful reference. And d) this linguistic expression creates an atmosphere of religious servitude as well as a climate of alienation among today's people, no matter what we say about its... beauty!
