About Monasticism and Priesthood
The book of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Limassol Mr. Athanasios "Cardiac Logos" contains sixteen of his speeches that were given from time to time at conferences and events where he was invited and that had as their theme monasticism and priesthood. His speech is paternal, empirical and subtle that can enlighten the modern man, who experiences anxiety, insecurity, confusion, disorientation from his real and essential purpose, which is his personal sanctification, salvation, deification. Panierotatos especially has the gift of speech. He is an inexhaustible source of speech. He can talk about the same topic many times and never repeat the same things. It always has something new to offer the listener. This happens because his reason is cardiac. And when we write hearty, we don't mean that he speaks from the heart, with emotion, as they usually say. But that the word is expression and formulation, a creation of the heart that unites and communes empirically with the immanent God the Word. This word has spiritual power, it is "alive and active and sharper than any two-edged sword and able to undivide soul and spirit" (Heb. 4, 12) and is capable of healing and regenerating the "weary and burdened heart" of the people.
