Bekos Yiannis
Yiannis Bekos was born, studied and lived most of his life in Athens. He did his basic studies in pedagogy and theology at the University of Athens and received doctorates in cognitive psychology from the University of Birmingham (1997) and in Christian ethics from the University of Geneva (2007). In the summer of 2003, he was a visiting researcher at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington (USA). He taught at the College of Athens and since 2006 has been a specialist scientist at the University of Cyprus, where he teaches ethics. He has published his texts in international and Greek theological magazines. Since 2008 he is a member of the National Bioethical Evaluation Committee of Cyprus.
