Makis Papageorgiou is an economist and journalist. He was born in Athens in 1962 and graduated from the Leonteio Lyceum of Nea Smyrni.
He studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business, as well as at the Hellenic Institute of Insurance Studies. At the same time, he studied music at the Hellenic Conservatory and the National Conservatory. He knows French and English.
Since 1991, he has been running the Excess advertising company. Previously, he worked at the Interamerican Group (Marketing and Finance).
He has been involved in journalism since 1997. He presented daily and weekly radio news shows for 13 years (1997-2009), and wrote articles for 10 years (2001-2010) in newspapers and magazines with a pan-Hellenic circulation. Today he collaborates freely with various media.
He is a member of chambers, scientific and professional associations of his field, and associations with social action.
