Patron Saint George

George Patronos is Professor Emeritus in the Theology department of the University of Athens and taught Hermeneutics and Interpretation of the New Testament. He has studied at the Universities of Athens, Thessaloniki, Birmingham and Oxford. He taught at the Theological School of Athens, as well as at Rizario and the Higher Ecclesiastical School of Athens. He has offered missionary work in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, while the work of pastoral ministry in many parts of Greece and Cyprus continues for thirty years. He is considered a traditional theologian, but at the same time a renewer of the theological language, while his contribution to the anthropological issues of biblical theology is considered particularly important. His independent works amount to thirty texts.
