Protopresbyter Fr Spyridon Raptis is a theologian. In 1999 he was ordained to the rank of deacon by the blessed Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Christodoulos and served in the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos Chalandrios until 2001. In the same year he received the rank of presbyter and was assigned to the parish of Metamorfosis of Sotiros Vrilissi. At the same time, he also served from 2001 in the special office of Archbishop Christodoulou as well as the current Archbishop Hieronymos until 2014. Since 2001, he has been the responsible youth priest at the Transfiguration Church of Vrilissi. At the same time, he is responsible and keynote speaker at the Parent Schools, the Bible Study Circle and the Parish Youth Gatherings. Since 2013 he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. of the ecclesiastical institution with the name "Educations I.N. of Transfiguration Sotiros Vrilission of the 1st Archdiocese of Athens".
He was the visionary and founder of the educational institutions of the Holy Temple, where the Nursery, Kindergarten, Elementary and High School operate. 450 children attend the schools today. He is also the founder and President of the Board of Directors of the ecclesiastical institution of the Elderly Care Home of the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of Sotiros Vrilissi of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, "Saint Simeon", where 25 old men and women are accommodated. He is married and the father of 4 children.
