Studying the psalms one finds the burden of responsibility to be cast as something less than an angel. However, by making them the material of his prayer, he discovers how this characteristic of his ultimately becomes a privilege and how it has the potential to become a force of inspiration and take-off, when he wonders "who will give me wings to leave and be quiet?" (Ps. 54: 7). And where else if not to Him Who "saves us from faintness and from the storm" (Ps. 54: 9)?
