Pascal's intersection between the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the God of philosophers and scientists is certainly solid and fundamental. On the one hand, indeed, the God of the Bible, who intervenes in history and in people's lives, with whom you can converse, hope for his mercy or despair, turn away and return (or not return) ̇ from on the other, the God of the philosophers, a creation of a powerful mind, whether outside the Judeo-Christian culture (Ancient Greece) or within it, is closely connected to the needs and pursuit of a philosophical theory or system, without any scope for personal attachment to it. However, the relationship between the biblical and the philosophical God is too rich and complex to be subjected to such an absolute dichotomy. However, Pascal's answer in favor of the first and against the second did not close the debate or the dispute. It may have been adopted by a whole stream of thought, but many other thinkers, who were at the same time men of faith, would not accept it and elaborate their work in the strictest terms of the philosopher, to this day.
