Tabakaki Polina
Polina Tabakaki was born in Athens, where she studied philology and music (violin).
Her PhD thesis (King's College London) on Seferis' relationship with music was awarded by the Hellenic Foundation as the best PhD thesis in the UK for the year 2007 in the category of modern Greek studies. It was released in Greek under the title "Poetic music" by Giorgos Seferis . A study of the relationship between modernist poetry and music (Domos, 2011) and was shortlisted by the magazine Diavazo , in the essay category.
He worked as a Hannah Seeger Davis postdoctoral fellow in the Greek Studies Program at Princeton University, and as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Cyprus. He holds the position of George Seferis Research Associate at the Center for Greek Studies and the Department of Comparative Literature at King's College London.
