Spyros Zacharopoulos

I was born just before the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Revolution of 1821, and at that time, when I went to school, heroes ruled everywhere. So I grew up among fighters and brushes, since I was lucky enough to have a father who was a great painter. The years passed and I followed the same path as was the tradition of the family (and my grandfather was a painter). I think I've done well in whatever job I've taken on to illustrate, but I find that I'm at my best when I have the heroes in front of me.
