PLANS OF SPEECHES First Holy Week
91 hand-drawn sketches of the speeches delivered by the Blessed Archbishop during Holy and Holy Week, from 1967 until the end of his life, as Archimandrite, Metropolitan of Demetrias and Archbishop of Athens.
These notes are particularly important, because they preserve its special graphic character, which the researcher will see evolve and take shape over the years. Above all, however, they are valuable, because they record and reveal the development and maturation of his theological thought, but also of his Pastoral responsibility, when he now addresses the Christ-named crew of the Church as High Priest. They are published as they are, but also typed, so that the researcher does not have difficulty in reading them, since sometimes the graphic character becomes difficult to understand or hard to distinguish, also due to the age of many manuscripts.
The Volume is prefaced by Primate Thomas Synodinos, Head of the Cathedral of Athens, chosen and close collaborator of the Blessed Primate, responsible for his precious archive. The research, collection and editing of the texts is carried out by Archim. Epifanios Oikonomou, brainchild of the archbishop of Aedim, who also signs the extensive introduction.
