From "The Bee Genus" and "Teacher's Songs"
In the three years since the publication of our friend, our brother better, the poet who kissed us every now and then with the essence of his faithful heart, we proceed with this publication, as the beginning of what is to follow. Among the multitude of poems he left behind - some arranged by him in collections, others without a specific arrangement, without any testimony to his intentions - the beginning to bring all this poetic treasure to light required both courage and decision. We ended up with this collection of two of his poetic collections, so as to follow, as far as possible, the most representative, at least, fruits of a lifelong effort, which he himself did not manage to make accessible to all those who knew and they occasionally enjoyed his poetry.
The poems of this edition present the originality of multiplicity, in the formally unified approach to one and the same subject. In musical language they could be characterized as "theme and variations", more lyrically the first ones, "Genus Melissone", more epigrammatically "Teacher's Songs".
