I don't see any significant literature around Dimitrios Kaklamanos. We find his name, usually parenthetically, in contemporary texts of nostalgia for the "belle époque", the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century. Our diplomats remember him from time to time. Since I happened to know him well and to appreciate him very much, I decided to write what I know about this neglected spiritual man with the threefold action (of journalist, diplomat, writer) - everything that I know either first hand or from the study of his works. The fruit of my effort is this booklet, which I dedicate to his memory and I want to hope that it will not be considered, as he himself would say, "neither as philological insolence, nor as hunting in a forbidden forest".
