This book is about a pilgrimage of the author, during the last fifteen years, to "Kecharitomeni", the monastery of Elder Epiphanios Theodoropoulos in Troizena. It is hard to find a Greek Christian who does not know him as a gifted theologian with a keen and deep knowledge of the sacred rules of our Church and an excellent spiritual and writer.

He was a graceful man with gifts from God that adorn the Saints of our Church, such as his friends the newly-appeared Saints Gerondades of the 20th century (Porphyrios Kausokalyvites, Paisios Hagioreitis, Ephraim Katunakiotis, Kallinikos of Edessis, Philotheus Zervachios, Amatfilochios). And this is because at the same time he had a secret, ascetic life, of fasting, vigilance, prayer.
