Love is the only real human quest. Love towards God unites humans with
creation (nature) but also with one another. This union is offered as a Eucharist to God and comes back as a gift to humans.
The Elders mentioned in this book--but also countless others that we do not
know-- transformed love towards God and humans into a mode of life. A mode which is always modern and, at the same time, eternal.
Reading about their deeds and sayings, one feels that they were
written for each one of us, personally. They are about what we always seek,
so that our existence may be fulfilled, and our every-day life may acquire meaning and sacredness. For love is the end; the place where God dwells within the human being, and the human being lives with God.
