Chief Panteleimon Mutafis
Archimandrite Panteleimon Mutafis (née Stavros) was born in Kavala, where he finished his encyclical studies. He studied at the School of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from where he graduated in 1994. He was ordained a Deacon and Elder in 1996 and in the same year he was appointed Proto-Chancellor of the Holy Metropolis of Xanthi and Peritherio. In 2006, he completed his post-graduate studies at the Theological School of the University of Athens and received a specialization in Dogmatic Theology with the support of the thesis: "Efstratus Nicaea's understanding of images", which was published in 2007. He has been making radio and television programs for a number of years. broadcasts on local and regional stations and is in charge of the Radio Station of the Holy Metropolis of Xanthi. He writes articles in the printed and periodical press with series of articles of theological, historical and social content.
He wrote the chapter on the Monasteries of Xanthi in the collective volume "Religious Monuments in the Prefecture of Xanthi", published by the Holy Metropolis of Xanthi.
