Roman p. Antὠnios
Hieromonk Antonios (born Anastasios) Romaios was born in 1932, in Kallithea. While studying at the Theological School of the University of Athens, he worked for three years as a trainee stenographer in the Stenographic Service of the Hellenic Parliament. He resigned to be alone.
During his probation, he enlisted and after being discharged became a monk at the Holy Monastery of Logovarda, Paros, where he remained for nine years, a probationer, a monk. deacon and elder.
In 1961 he left the Monastery, served as vicar in the Holy Diocese of Thera, in Athens, in Attica, in England, in Africa, in the diocese of Thebes and Levadeia, in the diocese of Paranaxia and, due to illness, he retired and moved to I .M. Saint Gregory of Mount Athos (1994). During this time he served as the Secretary of the Foreign Mission Office of the Apostolic Ministry of the Church of Greece (1968-1975).
From then until today, from time to time the Sacrament of Repentance and Confession and of Pastoral Counseling come out of the Holy Mount of Deacons.
He has collaborated with "Etoimasia" Publications in the first published works, while ministering at the Immaculate Conception of Agios Ioannou Kareas in the Holy Mystery of Repentance and Confession and in the formation of the monastic and missionary substation of the Brothers (36 years). He has published several dozen articles in newspapers and magazines.
