The heroes of the story are eight children, all of whom have names of the Virgin Mary. Maria and Marios, Despina, Vangelis and Evangelia, Panagiotis and Panagiota are children-little heroes of the book you hold in your hands. These names are the connecting link of the company.
They are on a ship traveling in the Aegean Sea. The conversation leads the friends to discover a great truth in their lives: that the Mother of Christ, the greatest of all Saints, is not just a historical figure of the past. It is the bridge that brings us closer to God and is between us every day.
Through the experiential stories of the heroes, the past becomes present and the reader travels with the aim of reaching the most peaceful and windless port which is none other than the embrace of the Virgin Mary.
The children participate in this journey through the texts and images, and are invited to get to know better the Virgin Mary, who is the mother of all Christians.
Together with the heroes, they will discover many ways to be close to the Virgin Mary and for her to always remain by their side.
