THE STATE OF THE BIRDS

The first dream tale in human history

Two friends, Peisthetairos and Evelpides, want to find the man

who became a bird – Epopa the Tsalapeteinos to learn from him

in which part of the world can one live peacefully.

He does not know, and then the Persuasive suggests that they establish the State

of the Birds in the clouds, between the world of men and the world of the Gods.

Before the State is even, well, well, built, various well-wishers arrive

who try to derive benefits from its establishment.

In the end, Birds and People together manage to build the ideal State...

A journey to the utopia of each of us,

through the most spartan comedy of the greatest comedian

in the entire history of the Theatre, of Aristophanes.
